In addition to the production of various types of packaging, DaklaPack also has a lot of experience with 'kitting'. DaklaPack brings all the desired items together in one kit. Ease of use and safety for the recipient are paramount.
Kitting process and specialisation
We have extensive knowledge of (medical) packaging as well as experience in fulfilment. Our own programmers create software in which ease of use and minimising errors are important points. We use our knowledge for various Clinical Trials. Each one is unique. We deliver tailor-made work for each order. In consultation with the client, we collect data, including automatically. After a check and after any enrichment, we start variable data printing. We can turn orders around quickly, thanks to our own software and printing capacity. Assembling the (self-collection) kits takes place manually or by machine. After various checks, the kits are made ready for sending.

"Your kit our concern"
Viome
Viome supplies one of the most advanced and leading microbiome tests. DaklaPack has been
producing and shipping all Viome kits worldwide since 2018. The kits are assembled at
and shipped from DaklaPack's kitting facility in New Jersey (USA). The unique feature of
this kitting project, apart from its global market reach, is the linking of up to 8
unique codes to one individual order. Specifically built APIs ensure that the DaklaPack
system is flawlessly integrated into the customer's e-commerce system.
In addition to producing and shipping the kits, DaklaPack also fills the collection
tubes for Viome. This is done by means of filling stations developed by DaklaPack, which
weigh and register the weight of each individual tube; cap, scoop and the filled
quantity of liquid and glass beads. This data is then stored in Viome's database.

NIPT
The Nipt Consortium (Non Invasive Prenatal Test) commissioned DaklaPack Clinical Trials
to design and produce packaging. It can also compile (package) and distribute the
packaging.
The packaging consists of a shipping envelope containing a three-step pouch filled with
a personal letter and a leaflet (step 1), instructions and a collection tube (step 2)
and a RigidSafetyBag for the safe shipment (UN3373) of the self-collection tube (step 3)
to the laboratory.
After an order has been placed (by designated laboratories), this packaging is
processed, assembled and sent via a portal that we built ourselves. Dispatch is done by
means of special dispenser boxes to collection stations in the Netherlands.
The NIPT is a test in which the mother's blood is used to test in the laboratory whether
the unborn child may have Down's, Edwards' or Pataus' syndrome.
Population screening for colon cancer in the Netherlands
People between the ages of 55 and 75 are invited by the government to take part in the Population Screening for Colon Cancer. Using a self-test, faeces can be collected at home and then sent back to the laboratory in an envelope. DaklaPack designs, produces and assembles this self-test kit, including a unique data link.
